First of all, I drank the Blaklader koolaid a while ago, so this is not a review about the brand - we already know it’s the best.I usually wear the X1600 Blaklader pants, daily. They are great, yet they can be ball sweaty hot on warm days. This is why i purchased the Bantam model pants. Initial thoughts, they are a lot lighter than the 1600. They also fit a little bit loose, which I don’t love. The nail pouch pockets don’t drop inside the pants like they do on the 1600, instead they tuck in the incredibly large pockets to tuck away. I don’t like that, since pockets that large I tend to lose my phone, wallet, pocket change, etc. when I get inside a vehicle, so that sucks. As for durability, no doubt it has that. It’s a little lighter than your standard Carhartt dungarees, but it’s the same price and better looking in my opinion.I think they are a great option for a lighter pair of work pants, but they will not be replacing my X1600 love. Those pants are the best hands down. These are the only work pants I will buy. I've tried every construction pant out there and not only are these the only ones worth the money but they LAST! These are triple stitched in the seams so that they don't bust out when I'm crawling around scaffolding at work. I bought 2 pairs of caterpillar pants a couple months ago and they both ripped out and we're unwearable within 30 days. I buy the bantam for summer since they're light weight and I buy the other blaklader painter pants for winter. You really can't go wrong with blaklader!!They fit good though I should have went one waist size bigger I guess I'm finally gaining more weight lol. They look good though I can't wait to try them out at work but seeing how it will be at work so I guess I can wait lol.I got these pants not for construction, but for bushcraft and outdoorsman type programs. They are a bit long, but they fit great and the fabric is more comfortable than I expected. They have a ton of utilities and space for holding gear, etc. They are rugged and well thought out.I have been working with the brand of pants for many years . They came apart with in just a few months this time.Have been wearing these pants for several years. Haven't found anything comparable. Would like for this vendor to carry at least 7 pair in stock. When I order it won't let me order but 5 at a time and I want to order 7 pair at a time.Very convenient pockets for tools and such. I would recommend. After wearing many different brands of work pants over the years, these are some of the most comfortable ones ever. Try ordering one waist size up for better fit.pants were about 2 sizes small in waist and still about 2 sizes long even though i ordered 32/30 instead of 32/32. Good quality material but difficult sizing.Best work pants ever. Blaklader or die!
