Super warm and dry boot. Easy on an off. Rugged construction and great arch support. Composite to seems to make them warmer than traditional steel toe. I just cant manage to break them in around the ankle. Something with the design of both boots (L and R) with the stitch pattern makes them painfully uncomfortable around the outside ankle. I have been trying for three weeks now to wear two pairs of socks for padding and break these boots in, to no avail. These are great except for the fact that they hit my ankle bone in just the right spot to cause a lot of pain and discomfort.Good boot so far. The reason for taking one star my be a problem specific to my one pair of boots but...there's a crease in the boot for my right foot that hits right on my outside ankle bone, and it is quite uncomfortable. Hoping to find a way to stretch it out of the boot. They fit pretty true to size. So far, the waterproofing is good, yet a little warm as with almost all waterproof boots. Tough with good tread.I had a pair of the same boots I bought at a local outfitter here in Billings, Montana, and I paid $200.00 for the pair and from Amazon I got the same pair for $108.35. I agree the boots take a while to break in but I had my last pair 3 years and I had minor rubbing but nothing to go to the hospital over or anything. Even though they break in roughly and take a while to get to wear right they are worth it to me. I would buy them again and again. For the last pair over 3 years the waterproofing never failed. And the last pair weren't even totally worn out. Just the insoles come out over time but nothing diminished the comfort of the boots.Good fit. Not great when walking in woods on uneven terrain. Walked 1 day in these conditions and my ankles are killing me from the sides of the boots digging in.I like and look to buy againGood looking leather shoes but difficult to remove feet once worn. Would have been better if these boots had zips.Awesome for in the mud and digging. Kind of hard on my left ankle but all in all a good boot for the priceWorst boot I have ever worn. There is a crease at the ankle that caused me unbearable pain. After a week of trying to break the boots in I gave up. I tried giving them to a buddy who works with me and wears the same size. He had the same issue and tried for a month to make them work, leather conditioners, stretching them at night with a soft ball, wearing two pairs of thick socks. They wore scabs into his ankle and he finally just gave them to good will. I'll never even consider Justin Boots again.
