I wear a 30” or 31” waist in most pants. There’s enough stretch in the 30” of these that I require a belt but the pants are otherwise perfect. If you’re not expecting the straight leg it could be problematic to get over work boots but these are darn nice pants and the price isn’t terrible. The little extra pockets are well thought out and I like that I can keep multiple sizes of screws separated in the left pocket while keeping my phone and knife separate in the right. iPhone XR fits in the right lower pocket to avoid those accidental emergency calls that used to happen when mowing grass in cutoffs once I get sweaty
