As a teacher with plantar fasciitis, I am always on the look out for stylish shoes that are comfortable AND offer great support. I have to say that I loved the look of the shoe and feel of the shoe- it has nice soft leather uppers with plenty of room in the toe box without being "clunky", and I really wanted to keep it. The shoe fit nicely, even with my orthotics inserted. There were two things caused concern for me: 1. My orthotic made the right shoe squeak with every step. I can't be walking around my classroom with squeaky shoes.... :) 2.I know that these shoes have special technology to give support in the arch- I just didn't feel the support I need, even with my orthotics inserted. I suspect that if I had worn them all day in the classroom that my feet would have been very unhappy by the end of the day. As a teacher all day support is essential. If you have issue-free feet I imagine that this would be a wonderfully comfortable shoe. But sadly, I had to return these shoes, thank goodness for free returns!Complements:Very comfortable shoes. These are the most comfortable business casual shoes. I can walk around in them all day, and I don't take them off when I get home until after supper. The never hurt my feet. I have bad ankles and a bit of a weight problem, so I needed a business casual shoe that protected my feet. These were it!Complaints:They are not the most attractive looking shoe, even a bit ugly, but they work for business casual. After only four months of wearing them daily to work, they are starting to crack and show the cloth under the surface paint, and the rubber bottom is coming off the back of the heal. Also, they are hard to get off quickly. Because of the way the heal tappers in at the back, you can't take them off hands free.I work in corporate food service 10+ hours per day and they are comfortable. However, they are not truly slip resistant on wet and oily surfaces. For the price paid, I have had better and I buy several different shoes frequently. I hope they work on the rubber soles and make this shoe truly slip resistant. On a dry surface, the shoes are great. These were a little chunky looking, but extremely comfortable. I work in an office and am not on my feet constantly, but I've had issues with plantar fasciitis and couldn't wear my old shoes any more. These Aravon brand shoes have worked out well for me.I love these shoes - I need more support as arthritis creeps into my feet, and these shoes fit perfectly, provide that support, and look nice. I have narrow feet, and the Aravon division of New Balance (the only brand I can wear in athletic shoes) once again provides that much-needed 2A width. Most women's dressy shoes provide zero support, and I'd be limping after a few minutes of walking - I should be good for at least a few hours in these. (Might not want them for all-day wear, they DO have manmade uppers) Very happy with this purchaseThese shoes fit very well (I wear a 10 narrow) and are comfortable to wear all day. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is that in the description it stated there was a removable insole. This was a feature I would have liked, and I was disappointed when I realized it was not as advertised.they fit ,look great BUT they are NOT SLIP RESISTANT, not good on wet floorsOrdered 4 different shoes. This is by far the best.
