I'm a tall, slender dude (6' 3" about 165lbs) and these are my favorite pants ever. I bought 31/32 and they're awesome. The fit is absolutely perfect for me. These aren't like typical "skinny" pants where they're glued to your legs. These fit great, have great material and have great colors. I've bought 3 of the 4 available colors so far! Highly recommended.I have a decent calf my self and when I bought it at my size,34W 30L, it was a little too tight and I could feel as if it was tearing when I tried to sit down. So anyone with big calf might have to go a size bigger. I had to buy another pair with 36W 30L and it was a perfect fit though I need to wear a belt now. This is my second pair. I use them with duty boots and ankle high shoes. The fabric is nice and stretchy. Not for fat guys but works well for me. 6' 155 lbsMen who have thick claves would have a hard time with "slim fit" (not just this brand). Been wearing it for 4 weeks hoping it will stretch claves areas, nope. Claves areas are still tight but its a give and take. Regular dickies are too baggy, and this fits perfectly in every department except for claves lolI love these pants. Great for just about everything. You can work in these pants, wear them out on the town, teach second grade, skate in them, or whatever else. They are pretty durable although I have had the fluke pair that the belt loops broke rather quickly but Dickies sent a new pair out for free. Their customer service is super good. After I wear them into the ground I give the legs a snip and make them shorts. Needless to say I save a lot of money with my pants to shorts tradition. These pants are snug but not outrageously tight. Just right my 39 year old self. Reasonably priced and my wife digs them.Work unfortunately makes me wear khakis but these are great! Size definitely runs small on the waist. I’m usually a 32, maybe 33. But I needed 34’s to get the perfect fit. These pants lasted ma about 1.5 years but I do manual labor and wear them at least 3 times a week so…. Still great pants!I hate dickies. I hate shopping for them and I hate the fit. So why am I writing a review for them? Or even buying them.First off im 6'3 tall and 200lbs. I got a belly. Im skinny fat. I guess you could say.My work order me 4 pairs. Which, didn't fit. Really baggy in the legs, big in the waist. And just not a good fit.So I decided to order my own few pairs of dickies. I haven't worn dickies. Since my high school days in early 00's. Well reading a bunch of reviews. I took everything with a grain of salt. So I order 2 pairs in 2 different sizes.1 was a 38x 32 and second one a 36x32. In regular jeans im 34 -36 x 32. I know if your not super skinny dickies run small and I always go one size bigger then normal. Well since I needed these for work I order one size up and also 2 sizes up.38x32 they are a little big in the waist, was expecting that. Legs where a nice clean fit. Just like a nice regular fit jeans. Not skin tight, but not baggy at all. Enough room for the package. Easy to squat in, with out ripping your pants.36x32 big difference in the waist. A little extra room, not much. If your a 34 normally. These will give you enough room for that food baby, lol. The legs are a little bit tighter, more going into a slim fit. But they are shorter then your normal 32 length. I would go 34 length and hem the extra. Me being 6'3 you can tell they are a little short when I sit in a computer chair.I hope this helps someone. Specially taller guys around my height and weight.I debated giving these pants 3 stars instead of 4, but because of the price, I decided to go with 4.The good: The fit is great. These are a true slim fit without being nut huggers. (Caveat: You might need to go up a waist size.) They look great in the seat and through the legs. If you are a slender guy, then I highly recommend them. If you have a slender, but muscular frame, they might be too tight. These are better for the ectomorph body type. I would describe these as between Levi's 511 and Levi's 514, being a little closer to the 511s. One tip regarding the fit: You might need to let the pants air dry. These fit me perfectly, so long as I let them air dry.The bad: If you dry them in a machine, they will noticeably shrink. So if the fit is perfect when you first try them on, then don't put them in the dryer. They will become too tight and everyone will see the outline of your junk. The colors fade significantly. It doesn't take many washes for the color on these pants to no longer resemble their original richness. (I get that this happens with pretty much all pants, but it's much more extreme with these.) This isn't as big of a deal with colors such as grey or brown, but is quite noticeable with black. Not only that, but if you keep your keys, wallet, phone, etc, in your pockets, you will find that the color in those areas fades even more quickly. The quality just isn't the same as the originals. I've been wearing Dickies since I was in high school--so 22 years ago--and my first pairs of Dickies lasted me a solid 5 years. Not so with these. Maybe it's because, unlike the originals, it's heavy on cotton and light on polyester. (This is probably why they shrink and lose color much more quickly as well.) Expect nicks and tears to show up much more quickly on these pants. All in all, if you wear these pants regularly--say 2 or 3 times a week like me--they'll probably last you no more than 6 months. But, they're cheap, so it's a little more acceptable. The neutral: These pants run a little small in the waist. Even if you are pretty thin, buying your normal waist size may still end up giving you a muffin top. Not only that, but they are very snug through the hips and butt. So if you have a ghetto booty or are lucky enough to be packing heat, you should definitely go up a waist size. (I'm a 30" and go with 31" which works well. Not sure how much change it would be to go from a 32" to a 34".)The logo is now much more prominent. Instead of placing it above the back pocket, as most brands do and as Dickies used to do, the logo now appears on the phone pocket near the knee. I find this obnoxious. I'm not really into announcing what brand of clothing I wear--Dickies or otherwise--so I carefully remove the logo with an exacto knife.BONUS: Don't buy the Dickies slim-fitting shorts. Just buy these, take them to a tailor, pay $10, and get them hemmed into shorts. I get mine hemmed at 13" and they sit right at the knee. I've yet to find slim-fitting shorts that are actually slim-fitting in just the right way, so for me, paying the extra $10 to get them tailored is worth it.Update:So after around 4 months of wear the dye has faded around my pocket where my phone is kept and the thread is wear through on a corner. I bought the Dickies as I presumed they’d last longer, apparently this is isn’t the case.Still keeps some stars for how comfy and well they fit, shame about how long they last.—————————————Fit REALLY well, really nice material and feels hard wearing. Phone pocket also is big enough to carry an iPhone XS Max which I was surprised about.Delivery time was about 2 weeks, around a week earlier than expected. These fit like any other dickiesAs the materials quite hard you always need a one size up im usually 30/31 waist i got these in a 31 and they were a big snug but after a few days wearing them they have stretched to perfection. The leg is skinny so if you have larger legs are work out these wont be any good for youGood replacement for the double knee trousers that you cant get anymoreI'm a size 29-30 waist. I ordered the right size and they don't fit over my skinny legs at all. They might do for my 12 yr old son next year ! Awful sizing. Awful to return. Just don't bother. RUBBISH BUY.Overall the trousers are great quality, very robust and the material feels very stiff on first hand, but will soften once washed a few times.Usually i wear w32 but found them a bit tight, especially around the crotch area. So in that respect I'd opt for the next size up.I am an AV tech, easy 35 hoirs job. I go on my knees from time to time to get tk some pieces of kit but not enough anymore to wear combats. Big hole in the knee, now they're just fine if I want to be a hipster but no fit for purpose.
