the light is fine for limited close work and quick setup. the switch being on the light is handy since re-positioning the light and turning off and on can be done at the same time. BUT the 2 pack is totally deceptive. You DO NOT GET 2 lights as pictures. ONLY ONE. number 2 is a little useless light like a pen light. BUY IT ELSEWHERE.unmitigated garbage. I bought 4 of these lamps (2 at Amazon and another 2 through another big home supply store). The intention was to use the lamps for outdoor work that I would do in the evenings at my house. I took good care of them and never exposed them to moisture or dust. They were never used for more than half an hour a day at most. The first one lasted 4 months and I thought that if I bought another two or three I could use them for the full year before they failed. The others, however, all failed within a few weeks or months. Even though the batteries can be changed it appears that the bulbs are inaccessible. I suspect that in some cases it was the bulbs that failed but it could also have been the wiring within the flexible arm.
