This bag is much larger than it seems when you first open it. Much too big to use as a purse but a great work or travel bag. The canvas is sturdy and allows the bag to hold its shape. Lots of pockets inside. I only gave four star versus five because the inner pocket zipper came off and the main zipper for the bag doesn’t extend across the entire bag (there are openings on each side). I just returned it for an new one; hope the zipper on the new one stays in tact.Strong and durable bag. Have had it for over 3 years as our diaper bag and still looks good. I like hooking my keys on the bag loop on the inside and appreciate the zipper pocket to put snacks or my wallet. It is very roomy. I can fit a lot of things for two kids -- swimsuits, towels, water bottles, snacks, etc. Worth the price.Overall, great bag. I like the sturdy fabric, the handles are comfy and don’t slip - I just with it had a few outside pockets to drop my phone and keys inI used this as my personal item on a recent flight, and it was THE best bag I've ever used as a personal item. It fits under the seat, it's sturdy. This bag will wear nice over the years. I have a purse made of similar fabric, and it's about 19 years old and is more beautiful than when I first got it. I wasn't keen on the fact the zipper does not come all the way across; however, they way it's designed allows you to put a laptop in this bag, large notebooks, etc., which would not be possible if it zipped all the way. This bag fits so much! I feel like someone stole the secret of Mary Poppins bag!I foresee myself using this bag for many purposes and for many, many years. I can sew, so if anything does happen to it, I will repair the bag and keep going, but the stitching appears to be strong, so that's not even a concern.I'm currently using it as my back and forth bag for work over a very expensive bag I had bought (and can't return ?).I was searching for a bag that was big enough to be my purse, work tote, and sometimes lunch bag. This has lots of space, love the nice pockets and zip pouch. Its pretty enough to go with my dress clothes for my job at a bank. It feels sturdy enough to take the beating of everyday use. I wish there was one outside pocket to slip my keys into but thats me really nitpicking. The light brown color is a nice neutral shade of brown. If you're on the fence or have been looking for a while, I would say order this one!Bought in all three colors and this is my favorite. Used as a diaper bag on our trip to Disneyland and it was a perfect size. I put the tickets in one of the top pockets (pockets on both sides of purse), and I spent 10 minutes looking for them to set up a fast pass with no luck till later in the day. Turns out one of the pockets is pretty well hidden under the zipper flap, especially when it’s pretty full of things. It’s pretty handy to have a pocket a little more secure as long as you know it’s there! I added pics for reference. Straps are perfect length to wear just under your underarm when wearing on a shoulder. Stiff enough that it holds a cute shape and can stay open for knitting or other reasons that make easy access useful. Inside flaps on each inside I had not expected and are a bonus.. They aren't pockets, but flaps! One side is a zippered flap.. The zipper seems string, sturdy quality. The other side has two pockets on the flap, one of which is the perfect size for a cell phone. The button closure requires a strong push and is my only con (I know the recipient of this gift will not bother with it, or zippering the two sides of the bag together), but if the snap button instead was a strong magnetic button, she'd absolutely use and would be convenient for those of us who never bother to zip our bags ;) as you can see by photos, I bought an adorable embroidered iron on patch that puts this bag over the top cute for my denim & matryoska loving knitter! (I think due to thickness and canvas material, it did take quite a bit longer pressing iron to finally adhere, but as long as it's finally secure, I don't mind)Reading how the description discusses a zipper closure, we assumed that meant that the top zipped closed completely. I wish that we would have seen the one review that mentioned that this is not the case. The zipper only covers part of the top, which is definitely not what we were looking for. The picture shows it. We were looking for the security of a complete zipper closure, so we're not sure what we'll think about this when we use it.It also looked small when we unpacked it, much smaller than it seemed to look in other pictures.We got this for an upcoming trip and don't want the hassle of returning it at this point, so we'll see how it goes and will update.UPDATE: We've liked it more than we expected. It's definitely larger than it seemed, and fit everything that we wanted to put in it. Looks nice, more stylish than a regular tote. The 3 inside pockets worked well. We've been using it often since our trip, both due to the looks and that it works well. The lack of a full zipper is still a problem. Granted, we weren't often looking to have it zipped, but for those few times, not having to worry about stuff sneaking out the gaps would be nice. Also, it's not easy to do a quick zip. With the zipper extension, it really takes two hands to zip - one to hold the extension, and the other to zip. That zipper extension can also get in the way of putting stuff in/out, since it stretches across the bag when the bag is held open.UPDATE #2: Just wanted to add in that 2 years later, this is still our go-to tote bag on a daily basis. It holds a ton, is very durable, and the 3 pockets are enough to hold those smaller items. It still looks new too. We still have the same issues with the partial zipper and the hassle of dodging the zipper when the bag is stretched open, but overall those are minor. Definitely recommend it!Really good string canvas. Brass details are lovely. It has a large amount of space but you don't have to worry about hoking around the bottom of your bag looking for stuff as their are three hand internal pockets. One zipped, one phone holder sized (though I have fit my water bottle in it so it is spacious) and one similar styled pocket but larger (I have a 498 page book in there, again spacious). Also came with this little leather earphone holder which I have lovingly gifted to my partner as the bag is big enough that I can start carrying my normal headphones around.I bought this wanting a big bag to take to work which I could carry my lunch and all the other bits I might need. I also wanted it for weekends, as I have 2 children and ending carrying everything for them - and my husband come to think of it! Hence I needed a big bag. This bag is really big and you can get tons in it. Great for when you pop into the supermarket and forget to take a carrier bag. It fits loads of groceries in. Very sturdy and I really love the design. 1 zip up pocket inside, plus 1 mobile pocket and another pocket.Definitely recommend this.I am absolutely in love with this bag! I purchased it because I wanted something somewhat large to use to take to Germany on short trips, and it's really exceeded my expectations. The bag is stitched very well, made of a thick and quality material, and the size is perfect.You could easily use this as a normal every-day bag, use it for university or studying, as a gym bag, or use it for trips like I will. I 100% recommend it if you carry everything including the kitchen sink in it! I needed a large bag to carry my laptop, the bits that go with it, as well as my usuals, like purse, random assortment of rubbish that materialises, notebook & pens, small make up bag and usually some form of food and it fits! All of it fits! Yeah, it looks a bit bulky once filled but who cares if you're managing to fit everything into one bag! The straps have maintained their strength and I've used it as a business trip away bag on airplanes as well and it's been a dream! Think of that extra plastic bag full of 100ml bottles and such! It still fits! I just love this bag ?This bag is really nice but I see it more as a school bag or university bag or workbag for a really young person. It really is casual. What is called black is really more a faded dark grey. And of course this faded fabric gives it this very casual style. I can definitely not use it as a workbag but will now use it as a beach bag. I like the cool casual stile for that ...BUT....I was looking for an office bag and I definitely have not yet solved that problem....so I'll have to spend more money on another one.
